Job summary

BHP Olympic Dam in South Australia is seeking multi-skilled Mobile Plant Operators to join the Road Maintenance team within the underground mine. You will operate heavy equipment to maintain underground roadways and supporting infrastructure, including road grading, sheeting, bogging, and drainage work.

As part of Olympic Dam, you'll work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment, collaborating with multiple departments to meet mine schedules and uphold HSEC standards while supporting ongoing

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience operating mobile plant equipment such as graders, loaders, backhoes, ITs and trucks in civil or mining environments (essential)
• Experience operating the specified plant models is preferred but not essential
• Previous underground mining experience is desirable but not required
• Strong commitment to and understanding of HSEC behaviours
• Ability to work effectively within Olympic Dam operations and across functional teams
• Proven capability to work in a fast-paced, varied operational environment, engaging with multiple departments to meet mine schedules

Responsibilities

• Maintain underground roadways and supporting infrastructure, including road grading, sheeting and repairs, bogging and delivery of road base materials, bogging of underground sumps, and installation and maintenance of drainage systems and pipes for water management
• Collaborate with the Road Maintenance team to meet mine schedules and uphold safety and efficiency on site
