Xenco Services is seeking an experienced Underground Mining Superintendent to join a Gold Mining Operation on the East Coast of Australia. The role is FIFO with a 4/3 days roster and initially a 6-month contract, offering leadership across underground mining activities and collaboration with site leadership and technical teams to meet production targets.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Underground Mining Superintendent to join our team, working directly with a leading Gold Mining Operation on the East Coast of Australia.

This is a FIFO opportunity on a 4/3 daysroster, initially offered on a 6-month contract.

This role will suit an experienced Underground Mining Superintendent with a strong operational background who can provide effective leadership across underground mining activities, drive safe and efficient production, and work collaboratively with site leadership and technical teams to achieve operational targets.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing leadership and oversight across underground mining operations, ensuring activities are executed safely and efficiently
• Leading and supporting underground mining teams to achieve production and development targets
• Monitoring operational performance and implementing practical strategies to improve productivity, efficiency and safety
• Ensuring underground mining activities are conducted in accordance with site procedures, standards and regulatory requirements
• Working closely with Mining Management, Technical Services, Maintenance and other key stakeholders to coordinate operational priorities
• Supporting the planning, scheduling and execution of underground mining activities
• Monitoring workforce, equipment and operational requirements to ensure effective delivery of planned activities
• Identifying operational risks, issues and opportunities and taking appropriate action to maintain performance
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring accountability across underground mining teams
• Providing leadership, mentoring and support to Supervisors and other operational personnel
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across underground mining operations
• Reporting on operational performance, safety, production and key issues to site leadership

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience at Underground Mining Superintendent level within a mining environment
• Strong operational experience in underground hard-rock mining, ideally within a Gold operation
• Demonstrated experience leading underground mining operations and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong understanding of underground mining practices, safety requirements and operational compliance
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build high-performing operational teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability in a complex operational environment
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational performance
