Barto Gold Mining Pty Ltd is seeking an Underground Shift Boss to lead underground operations on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster. The role reports to the Mine Foreman and involves coordinating with mine operations, safety, and planning teams to achieve production targets and ensure efficient, safe performance.
Candidates should have a WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency, at least 2 years in a similar role, and a current WA C-class driver’s licence.
Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, one active underground mine, two active open pits, with new mines started in 2024 as part of the companies 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028.
This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a permanent role on an 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available.
Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this role works on a back to back roster and carries out the statutory duties and responsibility of a Underground Shift boss. The Underground Mining Supervisor will also have an opportunity to be involved in cutting the portal for the new underground project which will be a critical project for the growth of our Southern Cross Operations. For the right candidate there may also be potential take a step up for new existing projects during initial phases while both operations are running.
This role will be responsible for liaising with the mine operations teams and other departments to meet all safety, cost and production targets and mine planning activities are completed in a timely manner.

You must have a current WA driver's licence and be able to pass pre-employment checks including a full medical, drug, and alcohol testing, and a police clearance.
