Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking a Mining Engineer to support Ernest Henry Operations. Join a leading underground copper-gold operation and contribute to short-term scheduling, drill and blast design, and cave management.

Based at Ernest Henry, you will work with Mining Operations and Technical Services to deliver practical planning solutions, with FIFO options from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns on an 8/6 roster. This role offers strong career growth and exposure across planning and operations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in underground mine engineering is preferred.
• Exposure to mine design and planning software, ideally Deswik Suite.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships.
• Self-motivated with a desire to develop technical and operational mining expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present weekly mine plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Design drill and blast plans to support safe and efficient production.
• Coordinate cave management activities to ensure sufficient ore stocks.
• Conduct regular underground inspections to monitor progress.
• Contribute to short-term projects aimed at improving mine performance.
• Collaborate with Mining Operations and Technical Services to deliver practical planning solutions.
