Job summary

Lycopodium is recruiting for a Mining Infrastructure Underground Superintendent on a 2:1 roster to join our new long-term gold project in Western Australia.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the role covers compliance, contractor management, operational readiness and delivering onsite technical functions to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will develop and implement processes for steady-state underground production, mine planning, scheduling and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a relevant mining discipline.
• Significant experience in underground mining operations, infrastructure or mine development.
• Experience managing underground contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability in mine planning, scheduling and operational readiness.
• Knowledge of mining legislation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management and performance of underground service contractors.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop operational readiness for steady-state production.
• Safely deliver underground mine plans, schedules, budgets and infrastructure requirements.
• Lead short-term mine planning and scheduling with geotechnical, geological and surveying coordination.
• Support contracting strategies and mine planning with commercial and technical teams.
• Build productive relationships with contractors and ensure accountability.
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
