Job summary

Lycopodium is seeking a Field Engineer (Underground / Blind Bore) for a new gold project based in Western Australia. The role reports to the Area Manager - Mining Infrastructure and supports planning, design, evaluation, and handover in line with project requirements.

The successful candidate will contribute to compliance, project controls, procurement, site liaison, and quality management processes, while coordinating with contractors across civil, mechanical, and E&I scopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering, preferably mechanical, mining or civil.
• Minimum 5 years’ postgraduate experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrated underground mining construction experience.
• Experience administering reimbursable or open-book contracts, including timesheets and dockets.
• Ability to reconcile contractor records against site activities and progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry codes.
• Contribute to project controls including scheduling and forecasting.
• Assist with procurement, inspection and expediting activities.
• Perform site engineer duties prioritising safety and environment.
• Support Project Manager in quality management and reporting.
• Prepare construction reports and review tender/contract documentation.
