Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support safe, efficient, and profitable delivery while ensuring compliance with statutory, client, and company requirements. You will build strong relationships with site teams and stakeholders, drive performance, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in underground mining operations.
• Previous leadership roles such as Superintendent or Project Manager.
• Strong understanding of underground development and production mining.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing budgets and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day management of underground mining operations.
• Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all work areas.
• Ensure project activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Monitor production performance and assist with achieving operational targets.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, and resources to maximise productivity.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and site personnel.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for supervisors and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, and profitability.
• Prepare and review operational reports and project performance data.
