Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking an LV Fitter to support underground mining operations in Western Australia on a 7/7 day/night roster. You will service, maintain and repair underground light vehicles to keep them safe and reliable on site.

Ideal candidates hold a trade qualification as a light vehicle mechanic and have experience as an LV Fitter, with the ability to meet site access requirements including medical checks and a valid manual driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as LV fitter or similar in underground mining.
• Trade qualification as Light Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Ability to meet site access requirements (Medical, DAS, NPC & valid manual licence).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on underground light vehicles and ancillary equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs.
• Conduct inspections, pre-starts and compliance checks for safe operation.
• Perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and report defects or safety issues.
• Follow safety, quality and environmental procedures underground.
