Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. seeks an experienced Underground Light Vehicle Fitter for the Cowal Underground Mine in NSW. The role focuses on servicing, repairing and maintaining underground light vehicles in a safe, compliant manner.

Candidates should have a LV Mechanic trade qualification and proven underground mining experience, with strong fault-finding skills and a valid manual licence. FIFO/DIDO arrangements with a 14/14 roster are offered.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Light Vehicle Mechanic (essential).
• Proven experience maintaining light vehicles in underground mining.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Manual driver’s license required.
• Commitment to safety and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair underground light vehicles.
• Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Complete service sheets and maintenance reports accurately.
• Ensure work complies with site safety and procedures.
• Maintain tools and work areas to a high standard.
• Report hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams.
