Job summary

Redpath Australia is seeking an experienced Underground LV Fitter to join operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Mine in New South Wales. The role focuses on maintaining, servicing and repairing underground light vehicle fleets to maximise fleet availability and safety.

Successful candidates will have a recognised trade qualification, experience in mining or heavy industry, and the ability to pass site medical and employment requirements. A stable roster and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining light vehicles in mining, construction or heavy industry.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and work rights.
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on underground light vehicles and support equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Conduct breakdown repairs and troubleshooting underground and on surface.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history.
• Identify and report equipment defects and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with operators, supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.
