Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking an HD Fitter to support our underground mining operations across Australia. You’ll carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on underground heavy equipment, diagnose faults and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, and ensure inspections and pre-start checks meet site standards.

Opportunities exist at sites across Western Australia on multiple rosters.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HD Fitter.
• Ability to meet site access requirements (Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on underground heavy mining equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
• Conduct inspections, servicing, and component change-outs to manufacturer and site standards.
• Complete pre-start checks and ensure equipment is safe and compliant for operation.
• Accurately record maintenance activities and report defects or hazards.
• Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimise machine downtime.
