MRAEL has partnered with Peabody Energy to offer an Electrical Apprenticeship at Centurion Mine, Moranbah, commencing January 2027. You will pursue a Certificate III in Electrotechnology while gaining hands-on experience with underground electrical systems.

The role follows a fixed-term roster with emphasis on safety, teamwork and career development in mining. Local residents are encouraged to apply and Year 12 completion is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology while completing the apprenticeship.
• Willingness to work in mine environment and underground settings.
• Local resident preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with underground electrical installations and maintenance.
• Follow strict safety procedures and mining site rules.
• Learn on-site electrical systems and troubleshooting from mentors.
