Byrnecut Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Underground Superintendent for Prominent Hill, SA. The role focuses on leading underground development, ensuring safety, planning and delivery of high‑performing operations across multiple jumbo crews.

You will oversee Underground Shift Supervisors, coordinate priorities with technical teams, and drive development performance in a demanding underground environment. A senior leadership position with long‑term project stability.

Qualifications

• Strong underground development experience at a senior operational level.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and a demanding development schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground mining operations to achieve development and production targets.
• Drive development performance using jumbo crews and development activities.
• Provide leadership to Underground Shift Supervisors and crews.
• Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly operational priorities.
• Collaborate with technical services to ensure practical development plans.
• Manage workforce allocation, equipment utilisation and priorities.
• Monitor development performance and identify efficiency gains.
• Maintain safety, compliance and high operational standards.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Build relationships with client, site stakeholders and support teams.
• Contribute to reporting, budgeting and cost management.
• Drive continuous improvement across underground operations.
