Job summary

South32 is hiring for a Jumbo Operator at the Cannington operation in northwest Queensland. The role involves safely operating jumbo equipment, installing ground support, and adhering to mine plans and development standards.

You will also contribute to developing others within the development space and work on face boring, meshing, and related activities. The position is on a 7:7 roster with FIFO from several locations, including Townsville, Brisbane, and Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa,

Qualifications

• Experience as a Jumbo Operator in underground mining.
• Current C class manual licence.
• First Aid/CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain jumbo equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete face boring and meshing activities.
• Execute work as per mine plans and designs.
• Install ground support to required standards and specifications.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures.
