Job summary

Westgold Resources is seeking a Core Technician to join our underground geology team in Western Australia. The role provides broad exposure to drill core processing, sampling, QAQC, and geological data management in a fast-paced mining environment.

You will gain hands-on experience across core yard activities, data entry, and daily inspections while contributing to resource growth and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Process diamond drill core, including mark-up, cutting, sampling, and photography.
• Prepare samples and chip trays to QAQC standards, including blanks, standards, and duplicates.
• Sample surface and underground stockpiles and assist with geological mapping preparation.
• Maintain consumable stock levels and complete stocktakes.
• Accurately enter geological data and complete daily workplace inspections.
