Job summary

Flanco is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor - Underground Construction to lead on-site activities for FIFO projects from Perth, WA. You will oversee underground concrete structures, manage crews of 20-25, ensure schedule and budget adherence, and drive safety and quality across operations.

The ideal candidate brings extensive civil construction supervision experience, background in earthworks/concreting, and a proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Leading hand/supervisory experience in civil construction.
• Experience in detailed earthworks, formwork and concreting.
• Ability to read and follow plans.
• Trade background advantageous (formwork carpentry and/or concrete).
• Ability to supervise multi-disciplinary workforce.
• Clean National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain.
• Minimum Manual C Class Driver's Licence. HR license preferred but not essential.
• White Card.
• Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and LAB Drug and Alcohol prior to start work and ongoing during employment.

• New projects - FIFO from Perth WA
• Previous Experience Supervising Underground Concrete Building Structures is a must
• Common scope of works would be mills, crushers, concrete thickeners, conveyor footings and stockyards, tunnels, power stations & paste plants.
• Hands on leadership style with Formwork / Concrete / detailed earthworks background (highly regarded)

Flanco are currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor - Underground Construction to join our team.

Our projects generally run from 3-6 months with crews moving from project to project providing variety and ongoing work.

Flanco runs lean on the ground with small to medium-size crews from 5-30. All-rounders and candidates who demonstrate longevity in employment, have strong work ethic and team attitude who enjoy working alongside and helping other formwork carpenters, concreters, steel fixers and operators will be highly regarded.

About You:

You will have knowledge and experience in a diverse range of construction types, such as detailed earthworks, concreting, formwork and steel fixing. This is a working role where you will be leading through action.

Reporting directly to Company Directors, the successful candidate will act as a strong and positive example, always demonstrating guidance and leadership. You will be able to complete a project on time, focusing on quality and budget whilst ensuring and promoting a safe workplace.

A proven track record in establishing and delivering mine infrastructure construction activities is essential as is a team focus and inclusive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supervision of 20-25 crew on site
• Main point of contact on site for the project. Responsible for the financial, schedule and safety performance of their area of responsibility
• Ensuring the provision of resources and support to enable the project to function efficiently and effectively
• Assist with the development and review of the project budget.
• Utilise existing business unit resources to ensure your project environmental, tenement and mining-related approvals for your project are completed in line with the project requirements.
• Drive accountability for safety and environmental management both in design and construction through the line management
• Regularly engage and provide detailed reporting through to the executive management team
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and lead contingency plans.

Essential Criteria:

• Leading hand/supervisory experience in a similar role: Minimum 3 years’ experience civil construction
• Experience in detailed earthworks, formwork and concreting
• Strength in reading, interpreting & following plans
• Quoting experience advantageous, not essential
• Trade background advantageous (formwork carpentry and/or concrete)
• Ability to supervise multi-disciplinary workforce
• Clean National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain
