Job summary
Barminco is seeking an experienced telecommunications professional to install, commission and maintain underground communications infrastructure across a long-term underground gold project. You will support fleet management, proximity detection, tele-remote operations, and environmental monitoring while collaborating with operations, electrical, and IT/OT teams.

Qualifications
- Certificate III/IV in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT or related field.
- Underground mining tech experience preferred in mining, resources or heavy industrial sectors.
- Experience with fibre optics, leaky feeder networks, wireless tech and digital radios.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain underground communications infrastructure.
- Support deployment, integration and fault-finding of mining technology platforms.
- Assist in tele-remote mining system implementation and maintenance.
- Conduct installation, testing and troubleshooting of IoT devices and sensors.
- Collaborate with operations, electrical, IT/OT teams for edge computing and gateways.
- Monitor and optimise network performance to support autonomous operations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across mining operations.
