Job summary

Journex is seeking a Mining Engineer to join their team on the East Coast of Australia, focusing on underground activities and safety. You will work with ventilation planning, gas drainage, mine planning and work access to support site productivity and project objectives.

Qualified in Mining Engineering, you will bring experience in underground coal mine operations or related field, with a collaborative approach and readiness to return to the owners side.

• Qualified in Mining Engineering.
• Experience in underground coal mine operations or related field.
• Open to consultancy experience and returning to owners side.

Responsibilities

• Support underground activities including ventilation planning and gas drainage.
• Involvement in mine planning and work access activities.
• Ensure mine engineering integrates with business processes to meet objectives.
• Refine and optimise life-of-mine plan designs, schedules and closure plans; provide input into mining optimisation projects.
• Lead the permit-to-mine process; manage technical aspects proactively.
