Job summary

AustLII Foundation Limited in Sydney seeks an experienced UI/UX Designer & Developer to join a hybrid Software Engineering team. You will blend UI/UX design with frontend delivery to create intuitive, accessible legal information platforms.

Working with data, content and infrastructure teams, you will shape information architecture, run user research, and translate insights into practical, scalable interfaces across AustLII’s AI-enabled services.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in IT, HCI or Design with UI/UX frontend experience.
• Strong portfolio showing user-centred design and responsive interfaces using Figma or Sketch.
• Experience designing for large-scale, content-rich platforms with clear navigation.
• Plan and conduct user research and translate findings into design improvements.
• Knowledge of accessibility, design systems and reusable components.
