Job summary

Boeing, through Insitu Pacific, seeks a Software Tester to ensure UAV and ground control software meets high standards of quality and safety for defence and civilian customers. You will work in a collaborative team, executing tests, documenting results, and contributing to test environments and tooling.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a technical role, familiarity with Windows/Linux, Jira/Confluence, and a detail-oriented approach to testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in information technology, software, or a related field.
• 2+ years' experience in a technical or engineering role within commercial, defence, or related systems.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
• Comfortable working in mixed software/hardware environments.
• Experience using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Strong attention to detail and systematic problem-solving ability.
• Good communication skills; able to contribute in team environments and follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute test cases and scripts based on software requirements and specifications.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing of UAVs and ground control software.
• Identify, document, and report defects; work with the development team to clarify and resolve issues.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments, including Hardware in the Loop and Simulation labs.
• Participate in requirements reviews and provide input on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain test documentation such as plans, cases, results, and defect reports.
• Support configuration management and version control practices.
• Contribute to process improvement by providing feedback on software testing tools and procedures.
