Job summary

Boeing in Brisbane seeks an Engineer - Software to design, implement and verify avionics and embedded software for Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS). You will work within a cross-functional team under general supervision.

The role covers requirements analysis, unit testing, debugging and documentation, following engineering standards and configuration management practices. You will contribute to system integration, test activities and field support for deployed products.

Qualifications

• Perform requirements analysis and decomposition for assigned features or subsystems.
• Implement, unit-test, and debug software and embedded solutions following coding standards.
• Support analysis and resolution of customer support issues for existing fielded products.
• Conduct trade studies and prepare system interface definitions, verification and acceptance plans.
• Design and develop software solutions as part of a cross-functional team.
• Plan and participate in system integration, laboratory and field test and evaluation.
• Create and maintain technical deliverables such as unit-level design notes and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis and decomposition for assigned features or subsystems, translating requirements into component specs.
• Implement, unit-test, and debug software and embedded solutions in a commercial development environment.
• Support analysis and resolution of customer support issues for existing fielded products and provide defect reports.
• Conduct trade studies and prepare system interface definitions, verification and acceptance plans.
• Design and develop software solutions as part of a cross-functional team; follow design patterns.
• Plan and participate in system integration, laboratory and field test and evaluation for components.
• Assist with prototype and production validation activities for assemblies or modules.
• Create and maintain deliverables such as test procedures and deployment scripts.
