Job summary

Insitu Pacific Pty Ltd. is seeking an Engineer - Software to design, implement, verify, and support software for Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS). You will work on avionics, sensors, embedded computers, and user interfaces within a project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in specification, design, implementation, test and in-service support of electronic and software products.
• Experience coding in C++ and C#/.NET.
• GUI development experience and unit testing.
• Familiarity with version control, issue tracking, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience with Windows and Linux development environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis and decomposition for features and subsystems.
• Implement, unit-test, and debug software and embedded solutions.
• Support analysis and resolution of customer issues and provide defect reports.
• Conduct trade studies and prepare system interface definitions.
• Design and develop software as part of a cross-functional team.
• Plan system integration, tests, and evaluation for components.
• Assist with prototype and production validation activities.
• Create and maintain design notes, test procedures, build/deploy scripts, and user advisories.
• Perform configuration control and contribute to change requests.
• Assist with project planning, effort estimates, and progress reporting.
• Contribute to engineering process improvement.
