MMG in Cloncurry, QLD, is seeking an experienced Diesel/Tyre Fitter to support the Dugald River Mine maintenance team. The role operates on an 8/6 roster with fly-in/fly-out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa; exceptional candidates may be considered for FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane.

You will inspect tyres, fit and repair heavy equipment, and maintain SAP-based records, contributing to safe, efficient mine operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification or certification in tyre fitting.
• Experience in OTR Tyre maintenance with underground operations (>2 years).
• Knowledge of tyre types, sizes, and specifications used in mining operations.
• Crane, gantry, forklift tickets an advantage.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP) for record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tyres and rims for wear, damage, and defects, ensuring safety and operational standards.
• Perform tyre fitting, removal, rotation, and repairs on heavy mining equipment.
• Conduct regular pressure checks and adjustments to optimise tyre performance.
• Maintain accurate records of tyre usage, repairs, and replacements in SAP.
• Adhere to MMG’s safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritise tyre-related tasks.

We currently have a fantastic career opportunity available for an experiencedDiesel/TyreFitterto join our Maintenance team at Dugald River Mine.

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will provide maintenance support to the Dugald River Mine operations.

This role is based on an 8/6daysonlyroster, bus in bus out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa. FIFO from Townsvilleor Brisbanemay be considered for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications, skills & Experience

• Relevant trade qualification or certification in tyre fitting (e.g., Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology or equivalent).
• Experience in OTR Tyre maintenance with underground operations (>2 years)
• Knowledge of tyre types, sizes, and specifications used in mining operations.
• Crane, gantry, forklift, etc tickets an advantage.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP) for record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities include

• Inspect tyres and rims for wear, damage, and defects, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Perform tyre fitting, removal, rotation, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment, including trucks, loaders, and other mining machinery.
• Conduct regular pressure checks and adjustments tooptimizetyre performance and extend lifespan.
• Maintainaccuraterecords of tyre usage, repairs, and replacements in systems such as SAP.
• Adhere to MMG’s safety protocols, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete tyre-related tasks effectively.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards, including proper disposal of used tyres and waste materials.
