Job summary

Universal Store is seeking a passionate retail leader to step into the Store Manager role, working a Tuesday–Saturday roster including late-night trade. You will lead from the front, build a strong store culture and deliver standout customer experiences.

You’ll develop high-performing teams, drive sales, manage rosters and budgets, and uphold the brand values in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day store operations with a strong and visible floor presence
• Inspire, coach, and develop a large, diverse team to build future leaders
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences in line with Universal Store service standards
• Drive sales performance and store profitability through strong cost and productivity management
• Manage rostering, budgets, and scheduling to achieve business and payroll targets
• Maintain visual merchandising, presentation standards, and overall store efficiency
• Recruit, train, and support team members through clear, honest, and constructive feedback
• Uphold and role model Universal Store’s values, culture, and brand expectations

Skills and Experience

• Strong retail background with hands on experience across both shop floor and stockroom
• Proven experience as a Store Manager, leading medium to large teams
• A warm, energetic communicator who leads with positivity and purpose
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment
• High attention to detail with a strong understanding of retail profitability
• Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Confident in delivering feedback and communicating effectively at all levels
