Job summary

JJ’s Waste & Recycling is looking for a Truck Driver - RORO Operator / Yard Hand to service the local area with safe, modern vehicles and on-site workshops. You’ll join a national essential services team, earn a competitive hourly rate, and participate in our Driver Development Program to advance toward professional operation levels.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence and HC licence are essential.
• Excavator Operator Licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping to maintain site compliance.
• Operate fixed and mobile plant equipment and excavator.
• Maintain routine work records and inventories.
• Perform non-technical maintenance tasks as required.
• Manual handling around yard and facilities.
• Relief driving in Shepparton & Wangaratta (4am starts).

About the Role

Pay Rate: $38.90 per hour + Super

Shifts commencing: 6:00am

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

What You’ll Do

Join JJ’s as a Truck Driver - RORO Operator / Yard Hand servicing the local area. You’ll be behind the wheel of our safe, modern, and well-maintained waste collection vehicles - supported by on-site workshops and our bespoke in truck technology.

Your responsibilities will include:

Perform general housekeeping duties maintaining a high standard of site compliance

Operation of various fixed & mobile plant equipment & excavator

Maintaining routine work records and inventories

Carrying out non-technical maintenance tasks internally and externally as required

Manual handling around the yard and facilities

Relief driving work in Shepparton & Wangaratta (covering annual leave; 4am start times)

What You’ll Bring

The physical capability to safely perform regular manual handling tasks, including loading and unloading bins.

A positive, professional attitude and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

A genuine commitment to safety and compliance with workplace policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need

Undertake a company pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening

Provide a five-year traffic history at interview.

Current forklift licence & HC licence - Essential

Excavator Operator License – Preferred
