Job summary

JJ’s Waste & Recycling in Geelong is seeking a Truck Driver / Waste Operator to join our safe, modern fleet. You’ll operate well‑maintained waste collection vehicles, supported by on‑site workshops and in‑truck tech.

We offer an Driver Development Program, a strong safety culture, and ongoing training with opportunities for overtime. HR Licence is required and shifts start early, Monday to Friday, 4am starts.

About the Role

Location: Geelong

Pay Rate: $39.76

HR Licence

Shifts commencing: 4am starts

Day of Work: Monday to Friday

What You’ll Do

Join JJ’s as a Truck Driver / Waste Operator servicing the local area. You’ll be behind the wheel of our safe, modern, and well‑maintained waste collection vehicles - supported by on‑site workshops and our bespoke in truck technology.

Your responsibilities will include:

Safely operate a range of waste collection vehicles.

Load and unload bins, including manual handling.

Conduct pre‑start vehicle checks.

The ability to follow scheduled driver run sheets while adapting to changing conditions throughout the day.

The physical capability to safely perform regular manual handling tasks, including loading and unloading bins.

A positive, professional attitude and a customer‑focused approach, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

A genuine commitment to safety and compliance with workplace policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need

Undertake a company pre‑employment medical and drug/alcohol screening

Provide a five-year traffic history at interview.
