Job summary

Georges River Council is seeking a Tree Compliance Officer to investigate unauthorised tree removal, pruning and damage and ensure adherence to tree management policies. The role combines field inspections, investigations and regulatory enforcement across the Georges River area.

You will work with residents, developers and contractors, providing expert advice, documenting findings and supporting enforcement actions when required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Landscape Architecture or related field.
• White Card and valid NSW driver’s licence are required.
• Experience with tree compliance investigations or local government is valued.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of unauthorised tree removal, pruning and damage.
• Conduct site inspections and gather evidence for compliance matters.
• Engage with residents, developers and contractors to resolve issues.
• Prepare reports and support enforcement actions where necessary.
