Job summary

Georges River Council seeks a proactive Tree Compliance Officer to investigate unauthorised tree removal, pruning and breaches of consent. You will carry out site inspections, gather evidence, prepare reports and support enforcement actions, while advising stakeholders including residents, developers and contractors.

The role requires knowledge of tree regulations, strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously within a team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Landscape Architecture or related field.
• WorkCover NSW White Card is required.
• Class C NSW Driver’s Licence and a valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of unauthorised tree removal, pruning and damage.
• Ensure compliance with council tree management requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and collect evidence during investigations.
