Job summary

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Treatment Plant Operator to join Bundaberg Regional Council’s water and wastewater facilities on a nine-day fortnight, 76 hours per fortnight, 6-month contract. On-site at Bundaberg East, QLD, with start ASAP.

The role requires a Certificate III in Water Operations, a current Class C licence, White Card and safety training, plus experience operating water/wastewater plants. Vaccinations are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Water Operations (required).
• Experience operating water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with site procedures.
• Vaccinations against Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate mechanical and electrical plant equipment.
• Carry out chemical dosing and adjust treatment plant settings as required.
• Conduct regular water and wastewater sampling and testing.
• Operate and monitor SCADA systems to ensure efficient plant performance.
• Accurately record readings, test results and plant data.
• Identify and report operational issues to maintain safe processes.
• Undertake other operational duties as reasonably required.
