Job summary

BCD Travel Australia is seeking a Corporate Travel Consultant to join our Sydney team. In this hybrid role you’ll manage corporate travel bookings, advise clients on policies and best practices, and deliver excellent service across phone, email and chat.

You’ll work with Sabre and other tools, support client programs, and contribute to process improvements while enjoying flexible hours, growth opportunities, and travel industry perks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in travel/airline booking or travel management
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Understanding of corporate travel policies and processes
• Ability to work across multiple channels (phone, email, chat)
• Willingness to adapt to rostered start/finish times

Responsibilities

• Search and confirm travel reservations for corporate clients via phone, email, and live chat
• Advise clients on travel policies and cost-saving options
• Handle regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas) as needed
• Provide industry information: low fares, exchange costs, penalties

As a Corporate Travel Consultant, you are the face of our company. You’ll communicate and respond to requests for current and new clients, helping them travel smart and achieve more. Do you communicate effortlessly and have customer service at heart? If so, then you may be a great fit, to work with BCD Travel’s corporate clients to support them with their travel requirements. As a Corporate Travel Consultant, you will

• Search and confirm travel reservations for our corporate clients, using various forms of communication modes, including phones, email and live chat
• Strong understanding of a client travel policy and can consistently provide consultation to the customer
• Fulfill all requests regarding necessary regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas, etc.)
• Provide the client with the required industry information, such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties
• Seek opportunities to review operational processes and commercial relationships with client to provide suggestions for improvement

About you

• Proven experience as a travel agent, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working for a travel management company on managing corporate travel arrangements
• Mid to advanced level skills in GDS Sabre – we provide dedicated training in Sabre too!
• Willingness to flex from time to time on roster start and finish times
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes
• Must have full working rights in AU
