Job summary

Life Without Barriers Education Limited – Bathurst NSW is seeking a Youth Worker to support wellbeing, engagement and learning for young people in a safe, inclusive environment. This permanent full-time role works with teaching staff to deliver learning support, wellbeing programs and trauma-informed practices.

Applicants should have relevant qualifications in Education Support or Youth Work, strong communication, and a current First Aid certificate plus a NSW Working with Children clearance.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Education Support, Youth Work or similar and/or equivalent experience
• Experience engaging and supporting young people with complex needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Current First Aid certification and NSW Working with Children clearance

Responsibilities

• Support student learning and engagement through in-class assistance and wellbeing programs
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment, supporting cultural identity and diversity
• Build positive relationships with young people and families to promote wellbeing and life skills
• Collaborate with teachers, teams, and community agencies to provide integrated support
• Participate in school routines, activities, and professional development
• Maintain records and comply with child safety, organisational policies, and legal requirements
