Job summary

Life Without Barriers Education Limited in Coffs Harbour NSW is seeking a Youth Worker to join the education team. You will support wellbeing, engagement and learning for young people in a safe, inclusive, trauma‑informed environment alongside teachers.

The role is permanent full time with a campus staffing mix of teachers and youth workers, commencing November 2026. Generous salary packaging benefits apply under the LWB Education Enterprise Agreement 2026.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Education Support, Youth Work or similar and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience engaging and supporting young people with complex needs and communities.
• Strong communication skills with families and communities.
• Good organisational skills for wellbeing and engagement programs.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence and ability to drive 12 seat vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Support student learning and engagement through in‑class assistance and wellbeing programs.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, trauma‑informed environment supporting cultural identity.
• Build positive relationships with young people and families to promote wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teachers and community agencies for integrated support.
• Participate in school routines and professional development.
• Maintain records and comply with child safety and policies.
