Zusammenfassung

Carinity Education Gladstone is seeking passionate Youth Workers - Student Wellbeing to join our supportive team. You will work with students, teachers and families to promote wellbeing, engagement and success, mentoring behaviour and building positive relationships.

There is a permanent part-time position (76 hours per fortnight, term time only) and casual opportunities available, offering flexible hours in a not-for-profit, trauma-informed school environment.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate IV in Youth Work or related qualification.
• Understanding trauma-informed practice and supporting pain-based behaviours.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff and families.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Current driver’s licence (LR) or willingness to obtain.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

Aufgaben

• Build positive and supportive relationships with students as a mentor and role model.
• Provide wellbeing and behavioural support within a trauma-informed framework.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external services to remove barriers to learning.
• Facilitate wellbeing activities, lunchtime programs, excursions and community engagement.
• Encourage participation, resilience and personal growth.
• Maintain case notes, records and reporting requirements.
• Drive the school bus for student activities (LR licence required or willingness to obtain).
