Job summary

Hireup in Albion Park, NSW is looking for a calm, reliable Youth Support Worker to assist a young client with complex mental health challenges and behaviours of concern. You will build rapport over time and work closely with the client’s support team to provide a safe, stabilising environment.

Ideal applicants have disability support experience, trauma-informed care, and experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans with professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated disability support work experience.
• Experience supporting children or young people with complex behavioural and emotional support needs.
• Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans and maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with the client and their support team over time.
• Provide trauma-informed care and support mental health needs.
• Assist with managing complex behaviours and maintain safety and boundaries.
