Job summary

BaptistCare SA is seeking a Casual Residential Youth Support Worker to assist in day-to-day operation of a residential facility for vulnerable and at-risk young people in Adelaide. You will provide practical and personal support, promote independence and help develop essential living skills in a trauma-informed framework.

Qualifications

• Certificate 4 in Child, Youth and Family Interventions, Youth Work, Community Services, or related field.
• Previous experience working with vulnerable and at-risk young people.
• Experience working with Aboriginal communities in providing support services.
• Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse people, LGBTQIA+ and other marginalised groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and personal support to residents.
• Promote independence and assist with developing essential living skills.
• Support young people to achieve Care Plans and Program objectives within a trauma-informed framework.
