Job summary

Junction Support Services in Wangaratta seeks Specialist Residential Care Youth Workers to join a trauma-informed team supporting young people with complex trauma histories in OOHC settings. This role delivers structured, child-centred care in residential homes, focusing on boundaries, routine, and collaboration with case managers and therapeutic teams.

Applicants must have Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, current WWCC and First Aid, and willingness to undertake police

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or strong motivation to learn.
• Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver trauma-informed, child-centred care within a structured home environment.
• Support daily routines including cooking, household tasks, transport, and medication.
• Recognise early warning signs and respond using Behaviour Support Plans.
• Complete case notes and incident reports to DFFH standards.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
