Job summary

Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency Co Op – Traralgon VIC is seeking a Therapeutic Residential Care Worker to engage with children and young people, building nurturing relationships to support healing from trauma. The role requires First Aid/CPR, a minimum Cert IV, and a capacity to work in a culturally safe Aboriginal community setting.

The successful candidate will provide care, documentation, and household support, contributing to the emotional, physical and cultural development

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention is required.
• Willingness to undertake Cert IV study as part of employment.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with children and young people to build nurturing relationships.
• Promote healing and emotional growth through trauma-informed care.
• Write case notes and incident reports accurately.
• Assist with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and transport.
