Job summary

Youth Off The Streets is seeking a Generalist Teacher on a permanent full-time basis for our Key College in Sydney, NSW. You will build strong relationships with diverse learners, differentiating Science, Maths, PE and Aboriginal Studies to suit individual needs.

You will work in a trauma-informed environment, uphold child safety principles, engage marginalised students, and collaborate with leaders to support positive outcomes and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with young people who have been marginalised in previous schools.
• Understanding of child safe organisation principles and mandatory child protection procedures.
• Respect and work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Willingness to teach across Science, Maths, PE and Aboriginal Studies.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Science, Maths, PE and Aboriginal Studies (flexible to fit needs).
• Differentiate learning to engage students with diverse academic, behavioural and social needs.
• Build strong relationships with young people and create a safe classroom.
• Contribute to a trauma-informed school culture and wellbeing initiatives.
