Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand is seeking a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to support women and children escaping family violence. The role is part-time at multiple FTEs, based in Frankston / Bayside Peninsula, with a salary set around SCHADS scale and a starting point of $107,689.23 plus super.

You will assess risk, provide trauma-informed case management and connect clients to housing, legal and health supports.

Qualifications

• Hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline.
• Demonstrate 2–5 years’ experience supporting adult and child victim survivors of family violence.
• Knowledge of risk, trauma-informed and intersectional practice, and integrated service systems.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist, trauma-informed family violence support to women and children accessing accommodation and Rapid Response services.
• Assess risk and safety needs, developing responsive strategies for immediate and ongoing safety.
• Deliver tailored case management to support goals, wellbeing and recovery.
• Connect clients with housing, financial, legal, health and other services.
• Collaborate with internal/external services for coordinated, culturally safe responses.
