Job summary

54 reasons is seeking a Family Support Specialist to join the Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Assault programs in Mount Isa. This full-time, permanent role operates within a case-management framework and supports individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence to create lasting change for children.

The position offers flexible hours, with service hours currently extended to 10pm, 7 days a week, and includes generous benefits and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families.
• Strong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in the domestic and family violence sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic case management and deliver support to vulnerable clients.
• Ensure the voices of children and young people are heard.
• Identify strengths and establish goals for the program, reviewing progress.
• Promote skills that improve health, safety and development within a trauma-informed framework.
