Job summary

Orange Local Aboriginal Land Council (OLALC) is seeking a passionate Domestic Violence Caseworker to join the Domestic Violence team in Orange, NSW. You will manage caseloads, provide crisis response, safety planning and advocacy to women and children affected by domestic violence, with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally responsive support.

Collaborating with police, housing, legal services and health providers, you will ensure coordinated, respectful service delivery and build pathways

Qualifications

• Qualification or equivalent experience in community services / social work or related field.
• Experience supporting women and children affected by domestic violence.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice.
• Understanding of safety planning, case management and advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload of women and children affected by domestic violence.
• Conduct client intake, risk assessments and safety planning.
• Develop and review individual case plans and provide support.
• Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally responsive assistance.
• Respond to crises and changing client risks with appropriate advocacy.
• Coordinate referrals and services for housing, legal and health support.
• Document case notes and participate in meetings and supervision.
• Collaborate with DV Team Leader, DFV Program Manager and external agencies.
