Job summary

Orange Local Aboriginal Land Council (OLALC) seeks a passionate Domestic Violence Caseworker to join our dedicated Domestic Violence team in Bathurst. You will provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive and client-centred support to women and children affected by domestic, family and sexual violence.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Community Services, Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with women and children affected by domestic violence.
• Experience in case management, risk assessment and safety planning.
• Understanding of trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice.
• Knowledge of privacy, confidentiality and information-sharing requirements.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload of women and children in domestic violence cases.
• Conduct intake, assessments, risk assessments and safety planning.
• Develop, implement and review individual case plans.
• Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based support.
• Coordinate referrals and service access.
• Navigate legal, court and justice processes where required.
• Maintain accurate case notes and records.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
