Job summary

Eastern Health's ECASA invites applications for a part-time Social Work/Psychology Counsellor Advocate. Based at Ringwood East with travel to eastern suburbs, you will provide trauma-informed counselling and advocacy to victim-survivors of sexual assault, supporting recovery, safety and empowerment within a rights-based, collaborative team.

The role includes after-hours on-call, supervision, professional development, and flexible arrangements to support work–life balance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology is required.
• Experience in sexual assault, family violence and/or mental health.
• Understanding trauma assessment and treatment in adults and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed counselling and advocacy to victim-survivors of sexual assault.
• Work within a rights-based, collaborative team and participate in supervision and professional development.
• Agree to an after-hours on-call roster with a minimum of two shifts per month.
