The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is seeking a dedicated counsellor to provide specialised therapy for individuals affected by sexual assault or family violence. The role covers intake responses, group programs, and intervention for young people with harmful sexual behaviours, reporting to a Team Leader and working with a skilled practitioner team.

Location is Horsham, full-time with standard business hours, and opportunities for clinical supervision and professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree or above qualification in social work, psychology, family therapy or similar discipline.
• Experience in therapeutic practice with trauma, sexual assault or family violence.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a teamwork environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialised counselling to children, young people and adults affected by sexual assault or family violence.
• Deliver intake response and group-based therapeutic services.
• Intervene with children and young people who display harmful sexual behaviours.
• Maintain regular clinical supervision and collaborate with MDC partners and stakeholders.
