Job summary

Monash Health's SECASA is seeking a Grade 2 Counsellor/Advocate based in Dandenong. You will deliver trauma-focused counselling and interventions to survivors of sexual assault and/or family violence, guided by intersectionality and human rights principles.

You will work with clients, families and key agencies, undertake assessments and crisis response, and contribute to after-hours rosters in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Crisis intervention skills demonstrated with adults.
• Experience delivering trauma-focused counselling.
• Collaborative practice with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality trauma-focused counselling and therapeutic interventions.
• Work with clients, families and key agencies to advocate for and respond to identified risk.
• Contribute to after-hours rosters and crisis response as required.
