Job summary

Gold Coast Disability and Youth in Helensvale seeks experienced male Complex Support Workers to join our team, delivering person-centred support across community access, in-home support, SIL, and overnight sleepovers on the Gold Coast and Logan areas.

You will use trauma-informed approaches, implement PBSPs, and manage behavioural escalations with TCI or similar training. A current NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, First Aid & CPR, and a valid driver's license with reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Must have TCI training and experience in defensive support practices.
• Certificate IV or higher in Disability, Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health, or related field.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Blue Card, First Aid & CPR, and driver's licence with reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing.
• Support participants with complex behaviours and mental health needs using trauma-informed approaches.
• Implement PBSPs, risk management strategies, and restrictive practice requirements.
• Apply TCI principles and de-escalation techniques during behavioural escalation.
• Assist participants with daily living, community participation, and goal achievement.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including case notes and incident reports.
