Job summary

Anglicare WA is seeking a Clinical Duty Officer based in East Perth. The role delivers trauma-informed, person-centred support via phone for individuals and families, handling high-risk cases and guiding referrals, advocacy and service access.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team, contributing to continuous improvement, staff coaching and waitlist management while supporting flexible work arrangements including some work-from-home days.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline.
• Experience applying trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
• Knowledge of family and domestic violence, including victim-survivors and perpetrators.
• Experience supporting suicide risk, self-harm concerns and child safety issues.
• Strong knowledge of community services and referral pathways.
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions.
• Experience providing debriefing and support to staff after escalations.
• Excellent written, verbal and administrative skills.
• Commitment to culturally safe and inclusive service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist phone-based support to individuals and families accessing Anglicare WA services.
• Act as escalation point for complex cases including DV, suicide risk and child safety.
• Coordinate referrals, advocacy and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders.
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement of the Service Access Team.
• Support staff through debriefings, waitlist management and data quality practices.
