Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Safer Communities Case Officer on a casual basis at the Camperdown campus. You will provide trauma-informed case management and support to students and staff experiencing wellbeing and safety concerns, with a focus on referrals and coordinated care.

You will manage a confidential caseload, engage with stakeholders, and maintain records while upholding professional boundaries and wellbeing strategies. WWCC is required for applicants.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling.
• Experience in counselling, wellbeing or trauma-informed support settings.
• Experience managing an individual caseload and supporting clients with sensitive matters.
• Understanding trauma-informed practice, risk assessment and appropriate referrals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management, risk assessment and support for individuals with complex wellbeing, safety and behavioural concerns.
• Manage a caseload of sensitive matters, develop support plans and coordinate referrals.
• Respond to enquiries via phone, email and referrals in a timely, professional manner.
• Build effective relationships with internal university stakeholders and external service providers.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records and contribute to a safe service environment.
