The University of Sydney on Darlington Campus invites applications for a Safer Communities Team Lead. This full-time, fixed-term role runs until 25 February 2028, with a base salary of AUD 152,045–160,430 plus 17% superannuation.

You will lead a team of Safer Communities Case Officers supporting students and visitors affected by gender-based violence, sexual harm and related trauma, delivering trauma-informed case management, triage, risk assessment and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in wellbeing or community services.
• Experience with high-risk and sensitive case management.
• Knowledge of legislation relating to gender-based violence and trauma-informed practice.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Safer Communities Case Officer team with coaching and mentoring.
• Coordinate triage, risk assessment, and resource allocation for disclosures.
• Ensure trauma-informed support and comprehensive case management for staff and students.
• Contribute to reporting under the Higher Education National Code and annual governance.
