Miya Services is seeking a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner to work in Townsville, developing Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans that reduce restrictive practices while supporting individuals with complex needs.

The role involves autonomous practice, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and culturally responsive engagement with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples. A strong grounding in PBS, NDIS Practice Standards, and Code of Conduct is essential.

Qualificações

• WORK EXPERIENCE AS A PBS PRACTITIONER & NDIS registration.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with challenging behaviours
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and evidence-based interventions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient approach to working with clients
• Working with Children Check and NDISWC.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct assessments to identify the root cause of challenging behaviours
• Develop and implement behaviour support plans tailored to individual needs
• Provide training and support to clients, families, and caregivers on behaviour management techniques
• Monitor progress and adjust support plans as necessary
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and interventions
• Attend team meetings and participate in case conferences as required
